Estonian Refugee Council (ERC) is a value-driven non-governmental EU-certified humanitarian organization. ERC currently provides humanitarian assistance to displaced people and other vulnerable people in 5 crisis-affected countries and support services to beneficiaries of international protection in Estonia. Our mission is to stand for the rights and well-being of refugees and other vulnerable groups in Estonia and abroad.
Born in Kyiv but moved to Estonia in 1974, Jarõna has been answering the help-line as a volunteer at the Estonian Refugee Council since March 9.

While most volunteers deployed by the Estonian Refugee Council to UNHCR offices in the Balkans have been repatriated, two volunteers have remained at their duty stations in Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
