For Armenia!
Since September 19, 2023, due to the ongoing conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia in the Nagorno Karabakh region, more than 100.000 people had to leave their homes towards Armenia.
The refugees have mainly arrived in the Syunik region of Armenia, where their primary needs are currently related to shelter, food, hygiene items, livelihoods and mental health support.
Estonian Refugee Council made a preparatory visit to Armenia in June 2023 and opened its office in Yerevan in October. ERC has several potential partner organisations on-site, with which to start activities quickly.
Our goal is to support the refugees who arrived in Armenia long-term to help them rebuild their lives in Armenia - if returning home is impossible.
We are collecting donations to respond to the current humanitarian situation and mitigate the long-term effects of the crisis.
