The programme supports the self-sufficiency of refugees in Estonia. As part of the counselling programme, we offer refugees high-quality, relevant and up-to-date information based on their personal needs to help them make informed decisions about rebuilding their lives in a new country.
The programme creates a more cohesive society by supporting refugees adapting to a new society, and the local or host community in including newcomers. In addition, the community programme identifies systemic and practical obstacles to adaptation and integration and ensures the rights of refugees.
The programme protects the rights and well-being of refugees through upholding and monitoring international law, promoting adopting evidence-based and effective practices, and participating in sectoral discussions and legislative processes.
